SIAMVIC® 370HD

K70 emulsion PVC paste resin — pseudoplastic and low fogging, for dotted gloves, ink & spraying

SIAMVIC® 370HD is a K70 paste PVC resin made by emulsion polymerization at AGC Vinythai PCL, Thailand, supplied in Bangladesh by Dunhill Corporation Ltd. — the authorized local agent since 1998. It behaves differently from a general paste grade: its pseudoplastic rheology makes it thin under shear and thicken again at rest, which is exactly what dotted gloves, plastisol ink and sprayed coatings need. It is also a low fogging grade.

Short answer: if you print dots on work gloves, produce plastisol screen-printing ink, spray automotive underbody coating or sealant, or coat artificial leather and conveyor belt with a high-plasticizer recipe, 370HD is the AGC Vinythai paste grade written for that job. Pseudoplastic means the paste flows freely while it is being sprayed or pushed through a screen, then stiffens the moment it lands — so dots stay raised, prints stay sharp and sprayed film does not run. AGC measures this grade's viscosity at 85 phr DINP, well above the 55 phr used for their other paste grades, which tells you it is built for heavily plasticized formulations.

Applications

What SIAMVIC 370HD is used for

The manufacturer's data sheet groups the applications into three routes. Two of them — spraying and printing — depend directly on this grade's pseudoplastic behaviour.

01 · Other

Dotted gloves

PVC dots printed onto knitted work gloves for grip. The paste must pass through the screen cleanly and then hold its shape, so the dots stay raised instead of spreading flat.

02 · Other

Plastisol ink

Screen printing ink for textiles. Shear thinning lets the ink move through the mesh under the squeegee, then set up immediately for a sharp, well-defined print.

03 · Spraying

Automotive underbody coating

Sprayed protective coating for vehicle underbodies. Low fogging matters here — the coating must not release volatiles that mist onto interior glass.

04 · Spraying

Sealants

Sprayed and applied PVC plastisol sealants for seams, joints and body panels.

05 · Spread coating

Artificial leather

Coated fabric and rexine built on high-plasticizer recipes, where a softer, more heavily filled formulation is needed.

06 · Spread coating

Conveyor belt

PVC conveyor belting, where the coating must penetrate and bond well to the carcass fabric.

Why processors choose this grade

  • Pseudoplastic rheology. The paste thins under shear and recovers at rest. On a screen or spray gun that means it flows when you want it to and stops flowing the instant it lands — raised dots, sharp prints, no sagging on vertical surfaces.
  • Excellent for high plasticizer content. AGC publishes this grade's viscosity curve at 85 phr DINP, against 55 phr for their other paste grades. It is designed to carry a heavy plasticizer load without the paste collapsing.
  • Low fogging. Fewer volatiles released from the cured film — a requirement for automotive interior and underbody work, and useful anywhere the finished article sits in an enclosed space.

Notes from the manufacturer's data sheet

  • Values are typical, not specifications. The figures above are average typical values measured on the resin. The binding specification for your lot is the quality certificate sent with the shipment.
  • Some end uses are regulated. Applications such as medical devices, cosmetics and personal care packaging, food and feed packaging and drinking water may be restricted by national or international standards. Buyers must confirm compliance for their own finished article.
  • Read the safety data sheet before use. AGC Vinythai issues a separate SDS covering storage, processing and handling. We can request a copy for you at any time.
  • Only the published version is valid. AGC Vinythai may revise the data sheet without notice; the version on their official website always governs.
Grade selection

370HD or 372LD — which paste grade do you need?

Both are AGC Vinythai paste resins, but they are made by different processes and behave differently in the pot. 370HD is the pseudoplastic, high-plasticizer grade; 372LD is the low-viscosity general grade.

In plain terms: if the paste has to stay where you put it — a raised dot on a glove, a sharp screen print, a sprayed film on a vertical panel — you want 370HD. If it has to flow and level evenly across a coating head or fill a dipping tank, you want 372LD. For a foamed layer, use 367NK. We supply all three and can quote them on the same shipment.

Common questions

SIAMVIC 370HD — buyer FAQ

What is SIAMVIC 370HD?

It is a paste (emulsion) PVC resin made by emulsion polymerization, with a K value of 70, viscosity index of 124 ml/g and degree of polymerization of 1200. It is mixed with plasticizer into a plastisol rather than dry blended.

What is 370HD used for?

Dotted gloves and plastisol ink; spraying of automotive underbody coating and sealants; and spread coating of artificial leather and conveyor belt.

What does pseudoplastic mean on my line?

The paste gets thinner while it is being sheared — pushed through a screen mesh, pumped, or atomised in a spray gun — and thickens again as soon as the shear stops. That is why dots stay raised, prints stay sharp and sprayed film does not sag on a vertical surface.

Why does the data sheet quote 85 phr DINP?

Paste viscosity only means something at a stated plasticizer loading. AGC measures 370HD at 85 parts DINP per hundred parts resin, against 55 phr for their other paste grades — a direct signal that this grade is intended for heavily plasticized formulations.

What is low fogging and why does it matter?

Fogging is the haze that forms when volatiles evaporate from a cured plastic and condense on nearby glass. A low fogging grade releases fewer of them, which is a requirement for automotive interior and underbody work and useful anywhere the article sits in an enclosed space.

What is the difference between 370HD and 372LD?

370HD is made by emulsion polymerization and is pseudoplastic, suited to high-plasticizer recipes, spraying and printing. 372LD is made by microsuspension polymerization and offers low, stable viscosity for general coating, dipping and moulding.

Who is the authorized supplier of AGC Vinythai PVC resin in Bangladesh?

Dunhill Corporation Ltd., Dhaka, has been in business since 1994 and the authorized local agent of AGC Vinythai PCL, Thailand since 1998. We supply both the suspension and paste SIAMVIC® ranges.

What is the current PVC paste resin price in Bangladesh?

Prices move with international feedstock rates, freight and LC terms, so we do not publish a fixed rate. Send your quantity and delivery month and we will send a firm offer the same day.
