Key Properties of HDPE
- Rigid & StrongHigher density and crystallinity than LDPE, giving stiffness and load bearing strength at lower wall thickness.
- Moisture ResistantVery low water absorption — well suited to a humid climate and to buried or outdoor service.
- Chemical ResistantStable against most acids, alkalis and solvents, which is why it is used for detergent and chemical packaging.
- Food Contact CapableFood grade HDPE is available from most producers. Ask us and we will source grades with the relevant food contact documentation.
