SIAMVIC® 258RB
SIAMVIC® 258RB is the lowest-K (K58) suspension PVC resin in the AGC Vinythai suspension range, supplied in Bangladesh by Dunhill Corporation Ltd. — the authorized local agent since 1998. Its short polymer chains give the easiest flow of any SIAMVIC® S-PVC grade: the resin to reach for when you need thin sections, fine detail and fast cycles.
Short answer: if you are producing rigid film and sheet, blister and thermoforming stock, bottles, injection-moulded fittings, electrical housings or floor tiles, 258RB is the AGC Vinythai grade written for that job. At K58 it flows more easily than any other SIAMVIC® suspension grade, so it fills thin walls and fine detail at lower temperature and shorter cycle times — and low-K rigid PVC is also what gives calendered sheet its clarity.

What SIAMVIC 258RB is used for
These seven end uses are listed on the manufacturer's own technical data sheet — the widest application list of any SIAMVIC® suspension grade.
Rigid film and sheet
Calendered and extruded rigid sheet, blister and thermoforming stock, and clear packaging film. Low K value is what gives this kind of sheet its clarity and easy forming.
Fittings
Injection moulded PVC fittings, where easy flow fills thin walls and fine detail without pushing melt temperature up.
Electrical housings
Moulded switch boxes, casings and electrical enclosures needing clean surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
Bottles
Blow-moulded PVC bottles and containers, where flow and clarity matter more than the melt strength a pipe grade delivers.
Rigid foam
PVC foam board for signage, partitions, cabinets and furniture panel — a large and growing line in Bangladesh.
Floor tiles
PVC floor tile and vinyl tile production, where the resin must accept high filler loading and still calender cleanly.
PVC compounds
Base resin for rigid compounding houses supplying sheet, moulding and tile customers.

Notes from the manufacturer's data sheet
- Values are typical, not specifications. The figures above are average typical values measured on the resin. The binding specification for your lot is the quality certificate sent with the shipment.
- Some end uses are regulated. Applications such as medical devices, cosmetics and personal care packaging, food and feed packaging and drinking water may be restricted by national or international standards. Buyers must confirm compliance for their own finished article.
- Read the safety data sheet before use. AGC Vinythai issues a separate SDS covering storage, processing and handling. We can request a copy for you at any time.
- Only the published version is valid. AGC Vinythai may revise the data sheet without notice; the version on their official website always governs.
258RB or 261RZ — which one do you need?
These two grades overlap in film, sheet, foam and bottles, so buyers often ask which to order. The deciding factor is K value: 258RB flows more easily, 261RZ holds a little more strength.
| SIAMVIC® 258RB | SIAMVIC® 261RZ | |
|---|---|---|
| K value | 58 | 61 |
| Viscosity index | 82 ml/g | 92 ml/g |
| Polymerization degree | 680 | 790 |
| Apparent bulk density | 0.560 kg/l | 0.550 kg/l |
| Processing | Extrusion, injection, calendering | Extrusion, calendering |
| Injection moulding | Yes — fittings, housings | Not listed |
| Also covers | Floor tiles, electrical housings | — |
| Melt behaviour | Easiest flow in the S-PVC range | Slightly higher strength |
In plain terms: 258RB is the one to order if you injection mould, make floor tiles or need maximum flow and clarity. 261RZ suits film, sheet and foam lines that want a little more melt strength. For pipe, profile or duct, neither is right — use 266RC (K66) instead. We supply all three.

SIAMVIC 258RB — buyer FAQ
What is the K value of SIAMVIC 258RB?
SIAMVIC® 258RB has a K value of 58, measured in cyclohexanone to ISO 1628-2. Its viscosity index is 82 ml/g and the degree of polymerization is 680 — the lowest in the SIAMVIC® suspension range.
What is 258RB used for?
The AGC Vinythai technical data sheet lists fittings, electrical housings, bottles, rigid film and sheet, rigid foam, floor tiles and PVC compounds.
Is 258RB suitable for injection moulding?
Yes. Injection is one of the three processing techniques on the data sheet, alongside extrusion and calendering. The low K value helps the melt fill thin walls and fine detail at lower temperature and shorter cycle times.
What is the difference between 258RB and 261RZ?
258RB is K58 with a viscosity index of 82 ml/g and easier flow, and its data sheet also covers injection moulding, floor tiles and electrical housings. 261RZ is K61 with a viscosity index of 92 ml/g and slightly more melt strength, aimed at film, sheet, foam and bottles.
Can I use 258RB for uPVC pipe?
No — the melt strength is too low for pipe. For pressure pipe, sewage pipe and rigid profile, use SIAMVIC® 266RC (K66). We supply both grades.
Who is the authorized supplier of AGC Vinythai PVC resin in Bangladesh?
Dunhill Corporation Ltd., Dhaka, has been in business since 1994 and the authorized local agent of AGC Vinythai PCL, Thailand since 1998.
What is the current PVC resin price in Bangladesh?
Prices move with international feedstock rates, freight and LC terms, so we do not publish a fixed rate. Send your quantity and delivery month and we will send a firm offer the same day.
What is the minimum order quantity and packing?
SIAMVIC® resin is supplied in 25 kg bags. Minimum order depends on the container and shipment plan for the month — contact us for the current MOQ and lead time.
