Rexine is built in layers. A foam layer gives the softness and the hand feel, a top layer gives the finish and the wear resistance. Each layer wants a different paste resin, and getting that pairing right is most of the quality.

Grade selection
One resin for the foam, another for the skin.
These are the SIAMVIC® paste grades we supply to rexine and coated fabric plants. Most factories run two of them together, one per layer.
Micro-suspension · Paste
SIAMVIC® 367NK
The foaming grade. Excellent foamability, high whiteness and a fine cell structure, and it does not stick to the hot drum or mould. Made for spread coating.

SIAMVIC® 372LD
The top layer grade. Used for the skin coat on artificial leather and for conveyor belt coating, giving durability and flexibility in the finished roll.

Which grade for which layer
These are paste resins, not powder for extrusion. They are mixed with plasticiser into a plastisol and spread onto the fabric, so what matters is viscosity behaviour, foaming and how the film releases from the drum.
