Key Properties of LLDPE
- High Puncture & Tear StrengthLinear chains with short side branches give markedly better dart impact and tear resistance than LDPE at the same film thickness.
- Allows DowngaugingThe extra strength lets converters run thinner film for the same performance — less resin per bag and a lower cost per unit.
- Strong Heat SealsGood hot tack and seal strength, including seals made through contamination — useful on high speed form-fill-seal lines.
- Comonomer ChoiceButene (C4), hexene (C6) and octene (C8) grades. C6 and C8 give higher strength and better optics; C4 is the economical option for general film.
- RecyclableResin identification code 4, the same family as LDPE. Widely recycled and accepted in most export packaging specifications.
